Day 19 | He Leads Us Through Uncertainty

January 23, 2025

Message | Pastor Jeffrey A. Johnson, II

Student Prayer | Sarah

Our Father in heaven,

Position our hearts today toward you. Today I pray with a heart of gratitude. Thank you for the beautiful gift of life and waking us up to live another day. You made us and you love us. I thank you for looking beyond faults and loving unconditionally. You are the creator, and the sustainer of the universe, and I pray you increase our faith as we are reminded of your power.

Today I thank you for when we are weak, you are strong. When we are unsure, you are sure. When we are lost, you are there waiting for us to return. Thank you for your unfailing love, blessings, goodness, and faithfulness to guide us and see us through times of uncertainty.

I pray today that you will take authority over our lives. Your word says that even though we desire to control our lives, you establish our steps. The battle is not ours, but it is yours. You turn our mistakes into beauty so that even our most imperfect days still serve a purpose.

I pray for your will to be done throughout this community, for your way to rule here on earth as it is in heaven. I pray you open our eyes bringing clarity to our minds rescuing us from sin and making sinful choices.

Today we recognize that you are our provider, and we rely on you to meet our daily needs. Please provide us with everything we need to please You, to live for you daily as Your mercies are new every morning.

I pray for those who are burdened by bitterness and resentment. I ask for Your forgiveness and for the strength to forgive others as you forgive us. Help us demonstrate unconditional love so we can begin to love as Jesus loves. God, restore our souls and guide us in the path of righteousness.

God, our rock and our redeemer, thank you for being the source of joy in life. It is with you our souls are satisfied. Hear my prayer and shine your light of life onto those who walk through darkness, so our feet stand on the firm foundation of you, for you are the God of hope.  Be with us, so even when we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil.

Remind us today that we are never alone. We trust in you God and know you are at work. Help us recognize the lies of the Enemy, help us refuse his temptations, and rely on Your truth instead.

God, our Savior, it is through you all things are possible. Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. It is in Your name we pray, amen.
