I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you." —Jesus, John 14:16–18

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. John 14:26, NKJV

When God gives the Holy Spirit, His great object is a transformed mind and heart and to empower people with spiritual gifts.

Now about the gifts of the Spirit, brothers and sisters, I do not want you to be uninformed. 1 Corinthians 12:1, NLT

A spiritual gift is a supernatural ability that God gives to each of His children so that together we can BE JESUS, advancing His kingdom in the world.

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 1 Corinthians 12:7 NLT

All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. 1 Corinthians 12:11

Many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles…But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit. Yes, the body has many different parts, not just one part. 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” would that make it any less a part of the body? 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where he wants it. How strange a body would be if it had only one part! Yes, there are many parts, but…all of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a necessary part of it. 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

Christ is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. Ephesians 4:15–16
