Pastor Darryn Scheske’s Daily Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, I ask you for the gift of Wisdom to know You better. I ask for the gift of Understanding, that the eyes of my heart will be enlightened, to grasp the mysteries within me and the mysteries of the Holy faith, that I may clearly understand the hope of my Calling, that I may know the riches of your glory, together with all the saints. I ask for the gift of Counsel than I may live according to the principles of your Word. I ask for the gift of Knowledge that I may look for counsel in You and that I may always find it in You. I ask for the gift of Fortitude that no fear or earthly preoccupations would ever separate me from You. I ask for the gift of holiness that I may always serve You with love. And I ask for the gift of the Fear of the Lord that I may dread sin that separates me from You, Holy Spirit, and from the Lord Jesus, and from my beloved Father. I ask for the gift of Faith to overcome the devil’s schemes and temptations. I ask these things through Christ Jesus my Lord. Amen.
