We sing Joy to the world, because God has come, he’s here...now, light arriving into our darkness. So little pure joy in the world. In fact, are you a little jaded about joy? Worn out and tired, burned out on everything...so tired. Which is exactly WHY God comes into the world for tired longing for things to change. In fact, when Jesus grew up, he told people why He came into the world. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest...rest for your souls.” Matthew 11:28–29,

Yet, in those dark streets, a light shined into the darkness. God is here. Help has come. Hope greater than all fears of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin, and enter in, be born in us today
We hear the Christmas angel, the great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us, our Lord, Emmanuel.

This is the song of a fearful soul meeting hope, so it’s not just about Bethlehem long ago, it’s that moment when the Holy Spirit comes personally to us, that Christ may be born in us today... O Come to us, Abide with us, Our Lord, Emmanuel

In the Gospel according to Luke, when Mary first heard the news from the Angel that God would come into the world through her, she went to visit her cousin Elizabeth... “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the infant leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit… For at the moment your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.” Luke 1:41,44 NAB

That’s the surprise of hope: the sudden realization that God sees you. You’re not alone. you weren’t expecting it but suddenly you sense the Presence of God and something leaps for joy inside you...you’re filled with the Hope of the Holy Spirit.

In the beginning of the new year, we begin the 21 Days of Prayer, we gather together every day for 21 days, to point our lives towards Jesus. The theme is, “On Earth as it is in Heaven.”

To help you experience a different way of relating with God, in fact a whole new way of living where the Peace of heaven becomes a part of your life, Come close to God. Come experience something so holy, so pure, so powerful, it’s a totally different way of living and relating to God. Let me help you.

Sometimes rest doesn’t look like rest.

Sometimes help doesn’t look like help.

Sometimes love doesn’t look like love.

Two kinds of people...those who’s hearts are getting closer to God and those who’s hearts are getting harder towards God.

I hope you’ll come closer, and discover a relationship with God that is so freeing, where “Who you are becoming is more important than what you’re doing.” And when you find that, you will find rest for your soul.

Peace be with you.
